The Brothers Grimm have their famous archetypes pummelled into comic submission yet again in this energetic sequel to last year’s fairy-tale fracturing.

The four cast members in this well-known Edmonton ensemble not only chew up the scenery, they swallow up the lights and spit out the glass as they re-act lewd and slapstick-filled versions of Hansel & Gretel, The Three Spinners and a half dozen other Grimm fables.
Heads get cut off, tongues get pulled from mouths and “suspiciously cackling old crones” get what they deserve.

Most of these over-acted shenanigans are standard fringe fare. But there are dozens of clever jokes in the fast-paced 60 minutes, and the actors certainly know their way around a pratfall.
