Winnipeg jewelry company Park and Buzz is certainly getting the red-carpet treatment this awards season.

The company already had a pair of their Radiance Stud earrings appear in the Grammys swag bag 10 days ago, and last week, founder and owner Amanda Park announced the company will also have their products in the much-coveted Oscars swag bag.

The swag bag is given to A-listers nominated in five Academy Awards categories — best actor/actress, best supporting actor/actress and best director. This year, that includes stars such as Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Ryan Gosling, Denzel Washington, Viola Davis and Nicole Kidman, to name a few.

The bags of free products are notoriously lavish, with last year’s collection of items sitting at an estimated value of US$232,000.

Park specially designed an earring and necklace set for the occasion — the earrings are vertical sterling silver bars with the Park and Buzz name engraved on the side, while the necklace is a horizontal sterling silver bar on a delicate chain. Both the necklace and earrings are plated in gold.

“It’s way different than anything else I’ve offered,” said Park in the announcement video she posted on Facebook last week.

At $215, the set is a bit more expensive than other Park and Buzz items, but for those who want to get their hands on the pieces, Park says a limited supply will be available for purchase soon.
