Border Crossings magazine held its biennial fundraising gala, Dreams & Nightmares, on March 17 at the Fort Garry Hotel. Now in its 37th year of continuous publication, Border Crossings is a not-for-profit organization, and Canada’s pre-eminent art magazine. The fundraising gala helps to support the magazine’s operations, and celebrates Winnipeg’s arts community. Artworks were donated by more than 70 local and national artists, including, Guy Maddin, Wanda Koop, Kenneth Lavallee, Sarah Anne Johnson and Simon Hughes. The art was up for sale at the gala.
