Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 18/11/2023 (1008 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
THE finish line in my four-week Free Press Gold Turkey TV Challenge (a.k.a. cold-turkey TV elimination diet that will yield gold!) is so close I can almost taste the freedom, come Sunday, of once again allowing myself to watch as much TV as I like.
And with my recent discovery of Scottish detective series Annika (PBS Passport app) and the imminent return of the kooky noir Fargo (with Jon Hamm and Juno Temple) on FX Tuesday, Nov. 21, and the Gary Oldman spy thriller Slow Horses on Nov. 29, on Apple TV+, the temptation will be eye-bogglingly great.
But will I go back to couch-addled TV zombie? Was great sleep and more time to read and think about a gym membership worth giving up two to seven hours daily of my beloved TV?
Apple
Gary Oldman returns as Jackson Lamb in Season 3 of Slow Horses on Apple TV+ starting Nov. 29.
The only way to know for sure is to join in the virtual TV-challenge postmortem on Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. on the Free Press YouTube channel (wfp.to/tvchallenge), where I will share my experience and any other feedback or questions you’d like to share. And don’t forget to bring your own TV recommendations!
