ARIES (March 21-April 19)

You won’t hesitate to speak up when talking to others because you feel motivated and eager to go after what you want. Furthermore, whatever you do, you will be able to keep up the pace and persevere for a long time. You’ll be convincing.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This is a wonderful day to accomplish whatever you want. If you need to talk to others, you’ll be persuasive. You work hard for money because you’re motivated. It’s important to know that if you work for the benefit of others as well as yourself, you’ll come out ahead.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Fiery Mars is in your sign dancing with Pluto, making you see ways to transform yourself into a better version of yourself. “The New Me.” However, do not work solely for your own benefit, as you will benefit more if you help others as well.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

This is a lovely day because the sun in your sign is dancing beautifully with your ruler the moon; meanwhile Mars has a lovely alignment with Pluto. Basically, this means you can do whatever you want. You’re motivated and persevering. Choose the highest good.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

You might make some effective changes in the world around you by working with groups or friends with the purpose of making improvements. Try to make something better or get a superior result. Ideally, this new result will benefit you as well as others. Ideas?

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is an excellent day to define some long-term objectives. Someone younger, perhaps from the past, is back in your world again helping you make these goals. Think about goals that benefit you as well as others — a win-win.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Tread carefully in discussions about politics, religion or racial issues because you have strong opinions and you feel the need to let others know what you think. Because you want to be heard, be prepared to listen to others as well.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Creative ideas might lead to new ways of using shared funds, shared property or something someone else earns. This is because you want to improve something or make it better. You might also want to help educate children. Fun socializing is likely.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Quite likely, you will attract someone who is persuasive. If you like what they have to say, you will enjoy this. If not, maybe not so much. Stand your ground if someone is determined to change your mind or sway your opinion. Be open — but be firm in your own beliefs.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You can get a tremendous amount done with whatever task you choose because you have energy and perseverance. Because you have this steady stamina, you won’t stop until you finish what you want to achieve. (No doubt others are impressed.)

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a powerful day for those involved in sports because you have the energy to keep going and the perseverance not to quit. Some of you might even be motivated by money. Whatever the case, sporting events, fun socializing and playful activities with kids will delight.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is a marvellous day to shmooz and enjoy the company of others. However, it’s also a great day to make improvements at home or perhaps help a family member in a meaningful way. Do what you can.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY

Baseball star Shohei Ohtani (1994) shares your birthday. You are charming, sensitive and intuitive. When you find what you like, you explore it all the way. This is a year of work and construction. Build foundations externally and internally. Take charge of your health. Physical exercise will play an important role. Stay grounded and levelheaded.

Woman pleads guilty to beating teens, injecting them with drugs

Two teens who thought they found temporary harbour in a stranger’s apartment after they missed their late-night bus home were instead terrorized, beaten and injected with methamphetamine against their will, a court has heard.

Simone Thomas, 22, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count each of forcible confinement, aggravated assault and administering a noxious substance with intent to endanger or cause bodily harm to a person.

Details of the bizarre, Feb. 17, 2025, incident were included in an agreed statement of facts read out in court.

Court heard a male and female victim, both 15, had been drinking cans of beer outside the New West Hotel around 1 a.m. when they realized they had missed their bus home. Thomas approached the teens and offered them a place to “hang out” while they waited for the next bus.

OTTAWA — For three and a half quarters, it looked like it was going to be a night Dru Brown would want to forget.

And in some ways, he still might want to erase Sunday from his memory because it wasn’t overly pretty.

But in the end, Brown got his revenge and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers recovered from a sloppy start to escape the nation’s capital with a 36-34 overtime victory over the Ottawa Redblacks.

The game literally went down to the wire as it remained tied after two overtime mini-games and had to be decided by alternating two-point conversion attempts from the 3-yard line — a first in CFL history as the new overtime format was introduced this season.
