Today in music history

In 1942, the Choristers, a Winnipeg chamber choir, began weekly broadcasts on the CBC network under the direction of W.H. Anderson. In 1952, the program’s name became Sunday Chorale, and now was devoted exclusively to church music. The program continued on a regular basis until 1969.
