Jim Bryson shares new single from forthcoming EP
Stittsville, Ont., singer/songwriter Jim Bryson released his new single Cut Bait earlier this week in advance of a six-song EP which is set to drop this fall. Bryson described the single on CBC’s Q as “about how we wander and wonder, and the possibility of the good moments we find.” The Tired of Waiting EP was recorded in three days at Bryson’s own Fixed Hinge Studio and drops on Sept. 14. It will be released on Coax Records/Headless Owl Records. It follows his last full-length album, 2016’s Somewhere We Will Find Our Place.

Final Anthony Bourdain interview
In an interview for Popula.com, the last Anthony Bourdain would give before his unexpected suicide, the author and TV host touched on a wide range of topics. The sharp-tongued TV host spoke of the harmful implications of travel on local culture, laments the lazy traveller who only plans by consulting TripAdvisor, Yelp and travel guides to guide them in their travel decisions, the vividness of Cajun Mardi Gras, journalism and his interview style, his work ethic, luxury, the #Metoo movement, Top Chef buddy José Andrés, U.S. President Donald Trump voters, Bill Clinton, Richard Branson and his theory on how ostracized Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein should meet his end. For fans of Bourdain, this piece will be bittersweet. The interview is available online at wfp.to/bourdainfinal.

Devastating and triumphant, Nanette is like nothing you’ve seen in standup.
