Dear Mike,

While cleaning out my mothers house, I found some of my brother’s old Hot Wheels cars. A friend of mine suggested I contact you to see if they have any value.

— Sherry C., Winnipeg

Dear Sherry,

Hot Wheels were first introduced in 1968. That was the year I purchased my first Hot Wheels car, and as a 10-year-old, I was hooked. I have been avidly collecting Hot Wheels for the past 25 years.

They were the first small car with metal-flake paint jobs, red line tires, mag wheels, North American and custom cars, as well as cars that you could race.

Your cars will date from 1968-1969. Condition is very important.

The total for all seven of your cars would be $175-$200.
