Raiskin, In Ferno’s ready to dish up a delicious duet

Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra music director Daniel Raiskin will trade in his black tie and baton for chef’s whites and a spatula for an evening of food, wine and music. On Sunday, March 15, Raiskin will team up with chef Fern Kirouac at In Ferno’s Bistro (312 Des Meurons St.) to deliver a three-course meal complete with wine from Kenaston Wine Market and music from WSO musicians, some of whom will also serve food and pour wine during the evening.

ERIN LEBAR / MEMES

Music you can wash your hands to

The most popular medical advice when it comes to stopping the spread of coronavirus is to wash your hands. Like, really wash them. At least 20 seconds with soap and water. And while nothing about coronavirus is funny, it was only a matter of time before memes started sprouting from the crisis to offer a bit of a light-hearted moment while we all work on our hand hygiene.

The most common meme floating around is a public information poster-style set of images portraying the correct way to wash your hands, with the addition of song lyrics under each picture to make sure you’ve got your timing correct. Try washing your hands to a snippet of Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in the Name or Miley Cyrus’ The Climb, or create a custom hand-washing meme with lyrics from your favourite track at Washyourlyrics.com. Whatever you do, just keep scrubbing!
