Manitoba’s Minister of Health

“At present, the book on my night stand is Through Black Spruce by Joseph Boyden. He won the Giller Prize for this novel in 2008. I’ve been a member of a fabulous book club for 16 or 17 years, and this is the next title on our list. We’ve read roughly 165 books together and we rate each one. Favourites include A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry, Barney’s Version by Mordecai Richler and Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee. I recommend everyone find a good book club. It’s great for one’s mental health.”
