As the father of a two-year-old, most of my reading is from Dr. Seuss or Anna Dewdney’s Llama Llama series these days. My favourite kids’ book is I Want My Hat Back from Winnipeg-born author Jon Klassen; I love the illustrations and the humour is very sly. It’s about a bear on the search for his missing hat; he questions a number of animals along the way, and in the end it’s clear he eats the hat thief. The scene goes way over my daughter’s head, but I think it’s hilarious. When I have time for myself, I’m reading Chris Bailey’s The Productivity Project: Accomplishing More by Managing Your Time, Attention, and Energy. Bailey spent a year testing various productivity hacks (like waking up early, or rarely checking email) and I’m hoping I can learn a few tricks. I’m still not finished the book after a month, so I guess it’s not working yet.
