TORONTO – The Canadian Screen Awards honoured the best in homegrown film, television and digital media at a gala in Toronto on Friday. These are the winners:
Best film director — Matt Johnson, “BlackBerry”
Best lead performance in a drama film — Amrit Kaur, “The Queen Of My Dreams”
Best lead performance in a comedy film — Jay Baruchel, “BlackBerry”
Best comedy series — “Bria Mack Gets A Life,” Crave
Best drama series — “Little Bird,” Crave/APTN
Best lead performance in a comedy series — Meaghan Rath, “Children Ruin Everything,” CTV
Best lead performance in a drama series — Darla Contois, “Little Bird,” Crave/APTN
Best reality/competition program or series — “Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World,” Crave
