MONTREAL – RVNG Couture has been named womenswear designer of the year at the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards.

The luxury fashion house took home the prize at a ceremony in Montreal on Thursday night — the first time the annual celebration has been held in the city.

RVNG was founded by designer Jordan Stewart, and this year made headlines when supermodel Helena Christensen wore their frothy polka dot dress to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

Menswear designer of the year went to École de Pensée, a “new wave tailoring” label based in Montreal that also won the award in 2023.

Biko won accessory designer of the year for their “modern, nostalgic jewelry,” while Kanuk won outerwear brand of the year.

The emerging talent awards went to Golshaah for fashion and Atacz for accessories.
