Sharon Stone has signed on to star in Nobody 2, which commences shooting in Winnipeg Aug. 6 and is scheduled to wrap in late September.
Stone, 66, is the star of films such as Basic Instinct and Casino; she garnered an Oscar nomination for the latter.
According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, Stone will be joining returning stars Bob Odenkirk and Connie Nielsen in the role of the main villain.
Directed by Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto with a script by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk and Umair Aleem, it’s a sequel to the Universal Studios Netflix hit Nobody (2021), which was filmed on a modest US$16-million budget and grossed more than $57.5 million worldwide.
Odenkirk will return as Hutch Mansell, a retired special ops agent forced to get back in the game as a consequence of his house being burglarized.
