It’s a powerhouse double bill when Journey and Toto hit the Canada Life Centre on March 4.

The two American acts are staples of classic-rock radio, the former known for such hits as Don’t Stop Believin’ — which has been streamed more than one billion times — and Any Way You Want It, and the latter for Rosanna and Africa (which was recently brought back into the limelight via a Weezer cover).

The Winnipeg show is part of a 30-date North American jaunt celebrating Journey’s 50th anniversary, called the Freedom Tour. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act currently features founding guitarist Neil Schon, Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Arnel Pineda (lead vocals), Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums/vocals) and Todd Jensen (bass).

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.ca; prices start at $37.50 plus fees.

Fans at the show will be able to enjoy a wider variety of food and beverages, thanks to $1.3 million in renovations and expanded concessions to the Canada Life Centre, announced Monday by True North.

New concessions include Burrito 204, Hot or Not Chicken and YWG Burger. The Crown Royal Whisky Hangar on the 300 level will serve cocktails paying homage to the Gimli-made rye.

The arena has also confirmed partnerships with three local breweries, in addition to its long-standing Labatt deal, with products from Trans Canada, Kilter and Little Brown Jug available at the Craft Beer Corner in the north concourse and outside section 310.
