Just when we all thought the brand had peaked after unleashing its limited-run New York-style KD Mac & Cheesecake earlier this summer, the beloved pantry staple set its sights on dethroning another kitchen cupboard essential: instant noodles.

Emboldened by the rapturous reception of cheesecake lovers nationwide who had clearly been hankering for the savoury-sweet combo, the convenience food’s latest mashup pairs its infamous neon-orange cheese powder with classic ramen soup seasoning and dehydrated noodles.

The resulting bowl is a respectable attempt at creating a North American version of the South Korean trend of noodle lovers adding slices of processed cheese to their ramyeon to temper spice levels and added creaminess.

The buzz about Faouzia just keeps growing.

The latest kudos for the Carman pop singer come from the website Refinery 29. On Wednesday, the Vice Media-owned property posted a list of 29 Canadian game-changers “that pushed back against the status quo in 2021.”

Faouzia made the list, joining the likes of Mary Simon, who in 2021 became Canada’s first Indigenous governor-general, Killing Eve actress Sandra Oh, R&B singer Savannah Ré, tennis sensation Leylah Fernandez, Olympic swimmer Penny Oleksiak and former Green Party leader Annamie Paul.

AI literacy course mandatory at U of W Collegiate

The University of Winnipeg Collegiate is requiring new students to complete artificial intelligence 101 lessons and offering a first-of-its-kind elective for those who want to perfect their chatbot prompts.

The private high school is piloting two projects this year in a bid to improve digital literacy on the downtown campus.

Every Grade 9 and 10 student will have to pass an approximately two-hour long online course about “AI essentials.”

Dean Osaed Khan likened the mandatory e-learning sessions to requiring students to complete a safety course before they can participate in a science lab.
