Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 12/06/2010 (5626 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
If your house were on fire, heaven forbid, what’s the one item contained within that you would try to take with you? (People and pets not included.)
A huge, bold, creepy print of a old-time carnival scene from Hatch Show Print. I got it my first time in Nashville and makes me feel like I lived through the dustbowl.
What’s the one clothing/fashion item you can’t live without?
I’m a pretty plain dresser, but for the shoes. I think Fluevogs breed in my shoe closet.
What’s your favourite knick-knack and why?
I have a collection of rocks scattered throughout the house that I’ve picked up as I’ve travelled. While I don’t really remember where most are from, trying to figure out which is from where brings back amazing memories of places around the world where I’ve bent over to pick up rocks.
What’s the oldest thing you own?
The North End estate — 1906. It has a nice lean to it and a family of squirrels may live in the attic, but it’s in better shape than I will be at 104.
Describe your most beloved piece of furniture.
My impractical white leather sofa.
Is there an edible item we’ll always find in your pantry or fridge?
Some kind of grainy bread from Tall Grass or Breads & Circuses.
