TORONTO — A team of food critics from across the country has come up with their picks of Canada’s 50 best restaurants for Maclean’s.

The current affairs magazine has just published a 132-page cross-country catalogue of where to eat out now, including some hidden gems.

Nine of the restaurants are in Atlantic Canada, 11 are in Quebec, 12 are in Ontario, 10 are from the Prairie provinces, and eight are in British Columbia.

Two Winnipeg restaurants made the list: Segovia on Stradbrook Ave., and Pizzeria Gusto on Academy Rd.

The full list is on the magazine’s website. The glossy edition with reviews, photos and recipes is on newsstands for $12.95.

Earlier this month, Maclean’s announced its three standout picks for best restaurants.

The magazine cites Hawksworth at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver as Canada’s restaurant of the year. New restaurant of the year is The Grove in Toronto, and chef of the year is Normand Laprise of Toque in Montreal.
