Hey there, time traveller!

Name: Smuckers
Sex: Female
Approximate age: Two years
Breed: Collie-terrier cross
Size: Medium
Time in care: Four months
Smuckers is an affectionate collie-terrier cross looking for her forever home.
She’s currently in foster care with Manitoba Underdogs Rescue and her foster family says she lives up to her name and is “as sweet as raspberry jam.”
Smuckers can be unsure around kids (let’s be honest, they can be a bit weird sometimes) so she would prefer a home without them. On walks she can get really excited and reactive and would love a family that wants to work with her on leash training.
She is smart, loves her humans and is eager to please. She breezed throughly basic obedience classes and is ready to be a good family pet. Smuckers is also crate-trained and potty-trained.
In her spare time she likes to swim, relax and keep her human’s feet warm. She does have some environmental and food allergies that bug her from time to time and needs to be kept on a special diet.
If you have a special home for a special dog, Smuckers might be your girl.
Those interested in setting up a meet-and-greet can fill out an application at manitobaunderdogs.org. A home visit is required before final application approval. Adoption fees include a vet exam, deworming, core vaccinations, spay or neuter, tattoo and microchip.
