A majority of Proline bettors expect the Florida Panthers to draw first blood in the Stanley Cup final.

Florida hosts the Edmonton Oilers in the opening game of the best-of-seven final Saturday night. According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., 61 per cent of bets are currently on the Panthers to win the contest.

Also, 70 per cent of bettors are leaning toward the over 5.5 total goals while 60 per cent have the Oilers +1.5 in the Puckline market.

The most popular player prop bet currently is Florida’s Aleksander Barkov over 0.5 total goals.

Florida advanced to its second straight Stanley Cup final with a 2-1 win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night. Fifty-one per cent of bettors had Florida winning the game with 51 per cent of wagers on the under 5.5 total goals.

Meanwhile, 42 per cent of wagers had New York +1.5 on the Puckline market.

On Sunday, Edmonton dispatched the Dallas Stars 2-1 to secure its Stanley Cup berth. Fifty-eight per cent of bettors picked the Oilers to win while 40 per cent had the under 5.5 total goals.

The most popular player props were Edmonton captain Connor McDavid over 3.5 shots on goal and over 0.5 goals. McDavid managed just two shots but scored.

The NBA final opens Thursday night when the Boston Celtics host the Dallas Mavericks. A majority of Proline players (64 per cent) are taking the underdog Mavericks to win while 78 per cent have Dallas +6.5 total points.

And 77 per cent are on the over 214.5 total points.

A Proline retail customer earned $1,070 from a $4 bet on an eight-leg major league baseball parlay while another made $1,240 from an $8 wager on a six-leg baseball/soccer parlay.

A Proline digital player correctly picked a 12-leg hockey/baseball parlay, the $1 bet resulting in an $893 windfall. Another won $1,424.36 from a $2 wager on a four-leg baseball parlay while a third turned a $3 bet into $1,289 by successfully picking an 11-leg hockey/baseball parlay.
