Moms & Tots/Moms Time Out, Fridays 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd. Moms (or dads) need time out, too! Becoming a parent can be hard sometimes, and feel very lonely. Joining Moms & Tots group is an excellent way to meet other moms (or dads) to develop new friendships and support. This group offers the opportunity to interact with other parents who are going through the same stages of parenting, to celebrate together, for your kids to interact with other children and a reason to get out of the house. Child care is provided in the nursery/playroom, while moms (or dads) take a break and have coffee and a snack in a nearby room. Charleswood United Church will again host its annual bridge luncheon on Tuesday, April 16, 12 to 3:30 p.m., offering spirited competition, good food and great prizes. This group is intended for seniors looking for a gentler style of exercise and a social outing atmosphere. Physical activity plays an important role in maintaining your strength, balance and overall health. We will walk indoors at the church following a circuit throughout the building, ensuring the safety of the walkers, or outdoors depending on weather and interest of walkers.
