MONTREAL – AtkinsRéalis Group Inc. has signed a deal to buy C2AE Inc., a Michigan-based architecture and engineering firm.

Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.

C2AE was founded in 1966 and is headquartered in Lansing, Mich.

It offers architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services and has a client base that includes state and local governments, transportation agencies and private-sector organizations.

The firm has eight locations and about 120 professionals across Michigan and Upstate New York.

AtkinsRéalis chief executive Ian Edwards says the deal strengthens the company’s presence in the Upper Midwest and expands its capabilities in key growth end-markets.
