Hey there, time traveller!

It’s been almost two months since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. Since then, the new duchess has settled into her role as an international fashion icon. This week, she’s dazzled with a variety of looks, sometimes multiple outfit changes in one day, beginning with Prince Louis’s christening Monday. That was followed by a celebration honouring the Royal Air Force Tuesday and a trip with Harry to Ireland.

Here’s a breakdown of six of her most recent looks:

The Duchess showed off her first of two looks Wednesday in Ireland for her and Prince Harry’s first official foreign trip as a couple. She donned a taupe custom Roland Mouret dress with black suede pumps from English designer Paul Andrew and carried a black Fendi Peekaboo bag. She paired what’s becoming her signature boatneck silhouette with Birks Snowflake Snowstorm Earrings.

Later that day, the couple made a few stops to the Croke Park’s museum, Trinity College and the Irish Emigration Museum. Meghan changed her getup, this time sporting a custom cropped black Givenchy double-breasted blazer with ankle length pants and black Sarah Flint Perfect Pumps along with a Givenchy black buckle belt and frame bag.

After arriving in Ireland Tuesday, the couple attended a garden party at the British ambassador’s residence, where Meghan wore a sleeveless black dress from Emilia Wickstead with a square neckline and belt. She finished the outfit with a pair of sparkling citrine and diamond drop earrings from Birks, a black Givenchy clutch and a pair of black pumps with bows on the heels from Aquazzura, an Italian shoe company known for modern flare.

Earlier that day, she channeled the Irish while meeting with Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, sporting a matching dark green top and skirt set from Givenchy and carrying a tan Strathberry bag: another brand Meghan is a big fan of.

She chose another pair of suede heels from Paul Andrew, this time in taupe. Harry played along with the Irish theme, wearing an olive green tie.

Earlier Tuesday, she wore a fit-and-flared dark navy dress from Dior with — what else? — a boatneck neckline and a custom Stephen Jones swirl fascinator.

She also paired it with nude suede heels, another Meghan staple, and navy clutch: both custom-made by Christian Dior. Her earrings (which she wore for her wedding!) were an intricate diamond and white gold design from Cartier.

The duchess wore a custom olive green dress from Ralph Lauren for the christening of Prince Louis on Monday at the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace in London. She added another custom Stephen Jones fascinator with a green clutch and green suede gloves, along with the same wedding Cartier earrings. Her heels were olive suede pumps from Manolo Blahnik.

Rainbow Stage cancels Sunday performance

Rainbow Stage’s closing performance of Jesus Christ Superstar on Sunday has been cancelled.

The outdoor musical theatre announced on social media Saturday night that it was forced to make the “difficult but necessary decision” to cancel the 2 p.m. show due to high humidex values forecast for Winnipeg.

“We do not believe it is safe or responsible to proceed with an outdoor performance,” the post said.

Rainbow Stage said those with tickets could transfer them to a performance of Legally Blond: The Musical, playing Aug. 13 to 30, donate the value of the tickets to the company and receive a tax credit, or receive a full refund.

Banned drunk driver in crash charged with getting behind wheel again

Erik Pindera 3 minute read Saturday, Jul. 11, 2026

A Winnipeg man who served time for drunkenly slamming a minivan into an off-duty police officer riding a motorcycle in 2023 is accused of getting behind the wheel, despite court orders.

Braedon Lee Gordon, 25, is charged with one count of driving while prohibited for an incident on March 2. His next court date is later this month.

Dan Léveillé, a veteran Winnipeg Police Service constable who was left with life-altering injuries in the June 14, 2023, collision, said he was not surprised to learn of the new charge.

“This is just another one of those stories, where a habitual, repeat offender is charged for the same offence. After having served time, his behaviour continues,” said Léveillé.

Sea Bears stumble to first home loss against struggling Surge

Joshua Frey-Sam 6 minute read Yesterday at 6:52 PM CDT

This time, the Winnipeg Sea Bears couldn’t find that late-game magic.

Winnipeg’s pro hoops squad has found a way to the finish line so many times this season it almost became expected that they would overcome their shooting woes and gut out another imperfect victory, but on Sunday afternoon at Canada Life Centre, a different fate prevailed.

Despite a struggling club entering their den, the Sea Bears fell flat in the second half of an 85-80 loss to the Calgary Surge.

Winnipeg’s hopes of clinching a fourth-consecutive berth in the Canadian Elite Basketball League playoffs were put on hold for at least one more game, and their perfect streak at home ended at seven as it dropped to 11-6.

Goldeyes beat RailCats to stretch win streak to four games before break

Perhaps the only thing that can slow down the Winnipeg Goldeyes these days is the American Association schedule.

The club is playing its best baseball of the season, rattling off four straight wins including an 8-5 decision on Sunday afternoon over the Gary SouthShore RailCats at sweltering Blue Cross Park in front of 2,688 sun-soaked spectators.

Winnipeg is now 25-26 on the year, which represents the closest they’ve been to .500 since back in early June.

However, the pursuit of a fifth straight triumph will have to wait until Friday. A four-day break is now upon them to allow for the league’s all-star game which will be played on Wednesday in Lincoln.

Brandon cautiously optimistic as Assiniboine crest looms

Abiola Odutola 3 minute read Yesterday at 6:45 PM CDT

BRANDON — The Assiniboine River continued its gradual rise Sunday, leaving some city streets under water.

As of 7 a.m. Sunday, the river level at First Street measured 1,179.23 feet, an increase of 1.62 feet over the previous 24 hours. The river was expected to peak Sunday, the City of Brandon said, and crews continue to monitor dikes, lift stations and other flood protection.

By Sunday afternoon, rising water had forced the closure of northbound First Street. Traffic was directed in both directions using the southbound lane, where water had already covered portions of the road. Motorists were asked to use extreme caution, allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes.

Mayor Jeff Fawcett said the city remains on track with flood forecast.
