The Trans-Canada Highway from Brandon to the Saskatchewan border has re-opened, but RCMP are warning motorists to reduce their speed because of slippery conditions.

No Brandon School Division buses are operating outside the city, while Alexander, O’Kelly and Spring Valley schools are closed. All other Brandon School Division schools are open, but attendance is at parental discretion where travel is required.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for northwestern Manitoba, including Thompson, Nelson House, Split Lake, Brochet, Lynn Lake, Leaf Rapids and Pukatawagan. Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 centimetres are expected today, with a further 5 to 10 cm possible tonight and 2 to 5 cm on Thursday. The snowfall is expected to taper off by Thursday afternoon.
