The Ethelbert RCMP are investigating a report of an assault with a weapon that occurred at the Ethelbert School on Thursday.
The suspect is an 11-year-old boy.
He is alleged to have brought an airsoft pistol to the school and fired airsoft BB’s at two other 11-year-old boys. No serious injuries were sustained.
The investigation is being conducted in conjunction with the Mountain View School Division. Since the youth involved are under the ages of 12, no criminal charges will be laid.
No other information is being released at this time, police said.
