WINNIPEG — The pilot of a crop duster was forced to make an emergency landing Friday evening near the southern Manitoba town of Carman after his plane lost power.
RCMP said the incident , initially reported as a crash, occurred about four kilometres north of Carman at 7:30 p.m.
"He had been doing a couple passes on a nearby field and he lost power and was forced to make an emergency landing in a canola field adjacent to the one he was dusting," said Cpl. Marshall McGregor.
The pilot, who was the only occupant of the plane, was uninjured.
