WINNIPEG — Bombers coach Mike Kelly has confirmed veteran quarterback Mike Bishop will be the starter on Saturday when the team meets the Argos in Toronto.
Bishop was brought in to give the Bombers offence a boost and has taken most of the work during practice this week.
Kelly opened his media conference today by stating Bishop is his starter.
"We’re going to go ahead and start Michael Bishop at quarterback," said Kelly. "We’ve got the jumper cables in our hands. We might as well use them."
The Bombers and Argos meet Saturday at noon (CST).
