WINNIPEG – Hon. Justice John Scurfield has died after a lengthy bout with cancer.

The Manitoba judge died Saturday morning. He was 57.

Scurfield battled melanoma for a number of years.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Hotel Fort Garry Conference Centre.

Scurfield was appointed judge with the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench in 2002.
