WINNIPEG –  Police are launching their annual Check Stop program, a campaign dedicated to reducing the number of impaired driving offences in the city.

During the month of December, there will be an increased presence of police on traffic duty, during the day and evening, in a bid to catch impaired drivers, police said today in a release.

As part of the enforcement initiative, the names of drivers charged with impaired driving related offences during the festive season will continue to be released through news releases, officials said.
