WINNIPEG – Once your Christmas tree has worn out its welcome in your living room, be sure to recycle it: the City of Winnipeg’s Let’s Chip In tree-recycling program will turn your tree into wood chips.

Simply remove all decorations and tree bags and drop the tree off at any of the depots listed below between Dec. 27, 2009 and Jan. 20, 2010.

Free wood chips will be available, while quantities last, at all depots in early January. Those interested should bring their own container to carry the chips away.
