They don’t have a head coach to roam the sidelines yet, but the Winnipeg Blue Bombers do know when and where they will be playing their games this season.
The 2010 Canadian Football League schedule was released Monday morning and the Bombers will have homefield advantage for their first two games, opening Friday, July 2 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and then playing host to the Toronto Argonauts at Canada Inns Stadium a week later on July 9. The Bombers will play five Friday night home games, including the regular-season finale on Nov. 5 against the Calgary Stampeders.
Football fans will get their first look at the new Bombers on Sunday, June 13 when the Montreal Alouettes are in Winnipeg for the first of two pre-season games.
