WINNIPEG – His season may be over, but Winnipeg Blue Bomber placekicker Justin Palardy certainly went down kicking.
The CFL announced its players of the week for the final week of the regular season and Palardy — who hit on all six of his field-goal attempts in last Friday’s 35-32 loss to the Calgary Stampeders – was honoured as the top special-teams player.
Palardy hit from 24, 51, 38, 12, 41 and 16 yards out for the Bombers and, in the process, pushed his season field-goal percentage to 86.7.
The offensive player of the week was B.C. Lions’ QB Travis Lulay, Calgary defensive back Keon Raymond was the top defensive player while Toronto Argonaut receiver Spencer Watt was honoured as the top Canadian.
