Police looking for teens who pointed gun at motorist

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police are looking for the three young teenaged boys who threatened a motorist Friday afternoon in the North End.

Police said a 36-year-old woman was eastbound on Magnus Avenue near Powers Street at about 3:30 p.m. Friday, looking for a parking spot, when the three teens stepped out onto the street and blocked her way.

One of the teens pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her, a second teen threw a can of cola at her vehicle and the third teen stood by holding a shovel.

The woman stayed in her car and continued to drive forward, prompting the three teens to step out of the way.

The boys are described as between 14 and 16 years of age and 5-feet-6 tall, and slimly built.

Two of the boys, including the one holding the gun, were wearing black toques, black hoodies, with black handkerchiefs covering the lower portion of their faces, baggy black pants and black shoes.

The other teen, who was aboriginal in appearance, was wearing a dark handkerchief, black baseball cap, a white hoody worn under a red and white jacket with black piping, and white pants.
