Bundle up Winnipeg — it’s going to be cold for the next couple of days.

The temperature will drop to -20 C this morning with a wind chill that makes it feel like -33. The cold weather is expected to continue Friday, with a forecast high of -19, and a wind chill of -36.

Things will warm up slightly on the weekend. Saturday’s temperature is expected to reach a high of -15 while on Sunday it will climb to -14.

Environment Canada has also issued a blizzard warning for Southern Manitoba — including Winkler and Morden. A low pressure system through Minnesota brought five to 10 cm of snow to southeastern Manitoba last night.
