Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have traded veteran quarterback Steven Jyles to the Toronto Argonauts for a first-round (fourth overall) pick in the 2011 CFL Draft.
The Blue Bombers also get Toronto’s fourth-round pick in the 2012 draft. The 2012 pick is conditional on how many games Jyles plays for the Argos and could be upgraded to a second-rounder.
“We’re trying to build for sustainable success,” Blue Bombers head coach Paul LaPolice told 1290 Sports Radio’s Hustler and Lawless. “And we believe the only way to do that is with Canadian talent.”
Winnipeg, which already owns the first overall choice in the draft slated for May 8, still has veteran quarterbacks Buck Pierce, Alex Brink and Joey Elliot on the roster.
Jyles started ten games for the Blue Bombers in 2011 with a 2-8 record. He became the No. 1 quarterback after Pierce went down with a season-ending injury.
“We thank Steven for everything he did here but (the deal) puts us in a great position,” added LaPolice. “You make the move to help you become a better team.”
