MINNEAPOLIS — It is the tease before the real thing, but Winnipeg hockey fans will get their first look at their NHL squad on Sept. 20th against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The NHL released its preseason schedule this morning — the entire schedule will be announced later today — and Winnipeg will first step on the ice on Tuesday, Sept. 20th in a pair of split-squad games vs the Blue Jackets at MTS Centre and at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

Winnipeg will then play the Nashville Predators on Sept. 24th at Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee, followed by a contest in Carolina the next day against the Hurricanes. Winnipeg will then take its show to The Rock for a contest against the Ottawa Senators at Conception Bay South, NL as part of the Kraft Hockeyville celebrations on Monday, Sept. 26th.

Winnipeg will then play host to the Hurricanes and Predators in their final two preseason games, both at MTS Centre, on Sept. 28th and Sept. 30th.
