A weather alert has been issued for the southern regions of Manitoba as the humidex continues to rise during this hot and sticky weekend.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement that is in effect from Emerson east to Sprague, where temperatures reached 40 C this afternoon with the humidex.
The weather agency said the humidity is expected to clear later in the evening.
The humidex advisory is in effect for the following areas:
Steinbach
St. Adolphe
Dominion City
Vita
Richer Morden
Winkler
Altona
Emerson
Morris Sprague
Northwest Angle Provincial Forest
