Hey there, time traveller!

Canada’s women’s 4×100-metre freestyle relay team, on which Manta Swim Club’s Chantal Van Landeghem of Winnipeg swims the second leg, finished in a time of three minutes 38.47 seconds Sunday to finish sixth at the FINA World Aquatic Championships underway in Shanghai.
With the top-12 finish, the team earned a spot at the 2012 London Olympics.
“It was a real team effort. I came in not sure what to expect and I was feeling nervous. We got the spot for Canada at the Olympics and I’m proud of all four of us,” Van Landeghem, 17, said in a press release.
Van Landeghem’s teammates are Victoria Poon of Montreal, Erica Morningstar of Calgary and Geneviève Saumur of Montreal.
“We worked well as team,” said Morningstar.
The team swam a time of 3:38.80, less than a second off the national record, during the preliminary round.
Netherlands won gold, United States earned silver and Germany got bronze.
