WINNIPEG – A man has died in hospital after being stabbed early today in Osborne Village, police said.
The man is believed to have been injured in a brawl which broke out around 2:30 a.m., near Stradbrook Avenue and Osborne Street. He died after being taken to hospital in critical condition.
Osborne Street was closed between Stradbrook and Wardlaw avenues until the afternoon while police investigated the scene. It has since been re-opened in both directions.

Members of the homicide unit are investigating.
