Hey there, time traveller!

CHICAGO – Jonathan Toews let a small grin sneak across his face early Thursday morning at the Blackhawks dressing room following his team’s morning skate.
“I want to beat the Jets,” smirked Toews, the favourite son of St. Vital. “Absolutely. I got text messages from friends last night saying, ‘I’m not cheering for you in this game. I’m cheering for the Jets. I’m cheering against you.’ What happened? Overnight it’s gone. I’m not their guy anymore. I mean, wait a minute, we’re the good guys. Things have changed a bit but it’s a good thing.”
Toews, the undisputed hero of the Winnipeg sports scene over the last five years, was laughing and enjoying the moment. But he’s very excited to play the team of his childhood dreams.

“When the Jets left, when I came into the league as a rookie, I thought about it many times, that I didn’t think I’d get the chance to play against the Jets or even see them come back. It’s pretty cool and a pretty exciting thing. I’m almost at the point where I can’t believe it’s happened.”
The Hawks will go with goalie Ray Emery in net and agitator Danny Carcillo will be back in the lineup after serving a two-game suspension.
Tonight’s game can be heard live on TSN Radio 1290 and seen on the main TSN network (7:30 p.m.)
