OTTAWA — The Winnipeg Jets will start Ondrej Pavelec in goal tonight as the club looks for its second win of the season.

The Ottawa Senators have allowed 30 goals in six games and have won just one game in six tries.

The Jets fell 4-3 in the shootout to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday and are now 1-3-1 on the season.

Jets coach Claude Noel wants to see Pavelec again tonight despite the back-to-back games.

“He was pretty good last night. This is a chance to get him into a rhythm,” said Noel.

The coach wasn’t expecting to make any lineup adjustments but did say forward Jim Slater could miss tonight due to the flu.

“I’ll have (Tim) Stapleton take the warmup and if Jim can’t go, that’ll be the switch,” said Noel.
