WINNIPEG – Winkler’s Eric Fehr is on the ice today at the MTS Iceplex and practising with his Winnipeg Jets teammates.
Fehr has been on the disabled list since the season started. Acquired in July from the Washington Capitals, Fehr had off-season shoulder surgery and was expected to miss several weeks at the start of the NHL season.
The Jets’ winger, however, has not been cleared to play. He’s skating today in a red jersey, which is customarily used to alert his teammates he should not be hit during workouts.

The Jets, who arrived home in the wee hours in the morning after a 4-1 loss in Ottawa, are conducting an optional skate today. They are at home against the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday at 6 p.m. at the MTS Centre (CBC, TSN Radio 1290).
