The University of Manitoba has reappointed president David Barnard to a second five-year term beginning July 1, 2013.
The Board of Governors approved the re-appointment at its regular meeting after receiving the report and recommendation of the presidential review committee of students, faculty, support staff and board members.
Barnard was first appointed July 1, 2008. Among his prior posts, Barnard had been president of the University of Regina.
