Canada’s Governor General will invest 45 people into the Order of Military Merit, including two from Manitoba.

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, will preside over an investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall, this Friday at 11 a.m.

The Governor General will bestow the honour on two commanders, nine officers and 34 members.

Those from Manitoba include Master Warrant Officer Bryan Pierce, from the Canadian Forces School of Survival and Aeromedical Training in Winnipeg, and Warrant Officer Gordon Nichol, of the 2 Canadian Air Division Headquarters in Winnipeg.
