Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 31/07/2012 (5130 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
This time it’s the ladies who will get a chance to line up on the football field.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are hosting their annual Women’s Football Clinic on Sunday, Oct. 21 at Canad Inns Stadium. Interested participants will take to the turf for a series of on-field drills, offensive and defensive “chalk talk” with Bombers coaches, and attend a post-event reception with current members of the Bombers roster.
Activities get underway at 9:30 a.m. Registration is at 8:30 a.m.
The event is always well attended so women are encouraged to contact the Bombers offices to ensure a spot on the camp roster.
For tickets and more information, call 204-784-2583.
Tickets are $80 (lunch and post-event meal included).
Proceeds from the event go to Osborne House, a local women’s shelter.
