Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have made just one roster change heading into their CFL contest against the BC Lions at Canad Inns Stadium Friday night.
In a season in which the Bombers have sometimes been forced to make wholesale roster changes from week-to-week to deal with a seemingly never-ending run of injuries, the only change on the club’s 46-man roster released Thursday morning was the addition of linebacker Brandon Stewart to the lineup.
The addition of Stewart to the lineup means that for the first time this regular season, the Bombers will have all 12 of their chosen defensive starters on the field at once this Friday against the Lions. And that, says Jonathan Hefney, means it’s time for a Bombers defence that dominated the CFL last season to rediscover that game-winning form.

“We’re going to come out and make a statement,” said Hefney, who moves back to his favourite position at half-back now that Stewart is back in the lineup at strong-side linebacker.
“We’ve got everybody back so now it’s just time to play football. We can’t say that we don’t have players who aren’t playing because we have pretty much everyone we want playing this week.”
Indeed, while the Bombers are continuing to miss some key players on offence — QB Buck Pierce at the top of the list — this week is the healthiest they’ve been all season, as evidenced by the lone roster change.
To make room for Stewart on the 46-man roster, the Bombers dropped defensive back Deon Beasley, who was a healthy game time scratch last week.
The Bombers had a light workout at Canad Inns Stadium this morning. The Lions are scheduled to arrive in Winnipeg later this afternoon.
