Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Joey Elliott has been named the CFL’s Offensive Player of the Week.
In the sixth start of his CFL career last Monday, Elliott led the Bombers to a 27-22 victory over the Montreal Alouettes as he passed for three touchdowns for the first time in his CFL career.
He completed 17 of 25 passes for 335 yards, with no interceptions.
He also added two carries for 13 yards on the ground.
It was the second time this season he has received the offensive player of the week nod. Elliott had also earned the honour for his week eight performance against Hamilton.
