Join Jen Skerritt as she tweets live from Wednesday morning’s city council meeting. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. and council will vote a number of items, including:
- A proposal to extend the second leg of the Southwest Transitway west through the Parker lands, then southeast along a Manitoba Hydro corridor.
- Appointees to the Winnipeg Police Board. They include protection and community services chairman Coun. Scott Fielding, lawyer Paul Edwards, Glenn Karr, Mary Jane Loustel and Elmwood Coun. Thomas Steen.
The province has also nominated Leslie Spillet, but provincial appointees do not need city council approval.
