A man who fell from the fourth storey of a Kenora hotel early Easter Sunday has died.

Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to the Best Western Lakeside Inn shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday to deal with a disturbance. Upon their arrival, they found a man lying on the street. A window on the fourth floor of the hotel had been broken.

The man was rushed to Lake of the Woods District Hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.

The victim’s identity is not being released pending the notification of next of kin.

The OPP Northwest Region’s forensic identification unit and crime unit have been called in to assist with the investigation.

Staff at the Best Western were not able to comment on the incident.
