City hall has approved a new tenant for Peguis Pavilion at Kildonan Park – with longer opening hours than previously proposed.

Council’s property committee voted today approve a 10-year lease that would see WOW Hospitality open a restaurant cafe inside the pavilion, which has had no tenant since November 2008.

The Winnipeg restaurant chain planned to open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., but will now work out a plan to open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well, the committee was told.
